Jo-Ann’s
tweeted out a cute, if not a little strange, elephant pattern today. Honestly, I think it would make a very cute pin
cushion!
Found
on BabyLifeStyles.com, adorable little yarn monsters. These could brighten up your cubicle or desk at work!
For
some reason, I am fascinated with making fabric flowers. I haven’t made any yet, but here are a couple
of cool tutorials:
From
Woman’s Day - DIY Style: Fabric Flower Charm – a gorgeous Japanese-inspired accessory from the book Kanzashi in Bloom by Diane Gilleland;
At
While She Naps, a terrific crafting blog, tutorials for Felt Tulips and Felt Daffodils;
Another
fun blog, Everyday Art, has a tutorial on Felt Sunflowers;
And,
at How About Orange, a Fabric Flower Tutorial for really cute dimensional
flowers.
Also,
I had mentioned previously how I want to make my own soap – I also want to make
my own salt scrub. I love salt scrubs
and the way my skin feels after using one – About.com has a Salt Scrub Recipe I want
to try – I just need to remember to add the ingredients to my shopping list
someday!
Lastly,
just today my friend Rebecca sent me this cute pattern she found on
AllFreeSewing to make your own Bicycle Basket – sounds like a great idea to start
now for summer riding fun- I just need to get a bike!
The
weekend is coming – I am going to do my best to catch up on some sleep and get
some sewing and/or crafting done!
