Random Notions - Love these change purses!

After Alexis saw the cute change purse for Layla, she wanted one.  So I revisited the Alexis Bag for a few minutes to make one.

The lining is the same hand dyed fabric as the body of the handbag.  I just love this easy change purse- I am going to make one for me and one for my mom in the next few days.

I also found a tutorial for the lip balm holder at another great blog - The Rush of Life.  I am going to do that tomorrow.

  1. I totally love this, so pretty! Where do you find all the fabric you use? It's really cool. Do you ever find vintage fabric? Secretly, I'm completely obsessed with old timey circuses. Weird, I know. But I'd buy some of the fabric just to look at if I could find it. Since I can't sew!

    1. Hey Chrystal - the swirly fabric came from Joann's. I saw it there again the other day so you can still get it. I get most of my fabric from Joann's and Hancock but I am always on the prowl in thrift stores - not only for cut yardage, but clothing as well. I have a couple of boxes full of old suit jackets that I want to use in purses someday, along with about 700 ties! I love ties! Circuses I'm not so sure about - I really don't like clowns! LOL
